Natural remedies for children

Natural remedies are increasingly in fashion, a trend that does not escape parents who decide to cure their children without resorting to pharmaceutical medications.

Many people trust them healing powers of herbs (phytotherapy), the way in which illnesses were cured and evils relieved

There are widespread natural recipes to solve the typical disorders of children, but you should not give them to babies under six months. They are, for example:

  • Chamomile tea: to calm the nerves and stomach aches.
  • Mint leaf tea: to relieve cramping.
  • Calendula cream: for diaper rashes and other irritations
  • Echinacea: for colds
  • Aloe vera: sage directly from the plant serves to heal small wounds, cuts and burns.
  • Lavender, in the form of tea: relieves dizziness and nausea. Droplets on the forehead are good against the headache and help the baby sleep.

Before six months babies do not have the intestine developed to digest some herbs. And until the year, you can supply them as long as the pediatrician authorizes it.

You should also know that some herbs can nullify the effect of any medication the child is taking, others can cause allergies and others such as peppermint or eucalyptus are toxic to children.
