A new study confirms the dangers of the child over the long-term use of these substances, this is the first study that shows the evolution and development of 37 children who have suffered Fetal Alcohol Syndrome for 20 years.
The long study has been prepared by Swiss and German scientists, they have thoroughly followed the evolution of these children during that time and have obtained the following conclusions.
The physical problems that children have suffered, such as facial deformities, have improved over the years, however, psychic and intellectual problems have been present as well as behavioral disorders. Children already in an adult state have not been able to live a normal life because of the problems we have mentioned before. Many of them were limited in such a way that their abilities also limited their job opportunities. The conclusions clearly show how the consumption of drugs or alcohol during pregnancy affects the child for life, paying the consequences of his mother's bad performance.
The degree of alcohol necessary for the circumstances we have mentioned is still unknown, for this reason scientists recommend not exceeding the consumption of alcohol in a glass per day, although we would be more forceful and to prevent, we would totally ban it.
Not only does alcohol or drugs affect the child, to these factors we must add (in some cases) emotional or educational deficiencies, among others, that suffer, perhaps caused by the mother's consumption of these substances, leaving in the background the attention and care your child needs.
