The contraceptive pill for men, closer

Some time ago we were already wondering about the possibility of a pill for men, and indeed the contraceptive pill for men seems to be getting closer.

And it is that from several places in the world studies are being carried out to develop this contraceptive for men that could change the way in which birth control is conceived.

It has been in Israel where a team of researchers have developed a pill that "deactivates" the sperm before reaching the uterus. And this new drug for men would leave sperm without fertilizing effects.

It is a pill that should be taken only once every three months, of course much less "uncomfortable" than the female contraceptive pill, and in principle more safe from the feared forgetfulness and side effects in the body that some women suffer.

This new male pill also seems to have no effects such as mood decay and decreased sexual appetite that did happen with other attempts at pills for men. Well, at least it has been proven that way in mice, because experiments with men begin next year.

The scientists who have created this product ensure that it will be available in the market in three years and that it has 100% effectiveness. The pill works by eliminating a vital protein in the sperm that is necessary for conception. So, although the sperm reaches the uterus, it does not serve to fertilize.

Kabbalahs are already being made about what presentation and dosage the pill will have: it would come in two formats, one that should be taken every month and another every three months.

Anyway, we will have to continue waiting for new investigations and tests in humans to know exactly if this birth control pill for men It would really be an effective alternative to other methods of birth control. And also see the response that men would give to this new method in which to get involved.
