The Gnoss Educa Challenge contest rewards the use of ICT to the José Luis Arrese school

The educational community of a small town in Navarre with just 8,000 inhabitants, is in luck today, becausel "José Luis Arrese" public school in Corella It has been awarded in the second contest Gnoss Educa Challenge, promoted by the Gnoss web space, which recognizes the work of the educational community in the development and promotion of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the classroom.

The center teaches subjects based on educational blogs and a virtual classroom has been distinguished in the Pirindolo Challenge section, aimed at Infant (3-6 years) and Primary (6-12 years). The jury has recognized the work carried out by the center with the use of educational blogs such as El Rincón de Herod, El Rincón de los Minipitagorines and El Club de los Pitagorines 3, and the Moodle virtual classroom.

The public school "José Luis Arrese" The project for the implementation and use of ICT in the classroom began three years ago. Already from the levels of Infant we work with blogs and in the last Primary courses (5th and 6th) a virtual classroom is also used.

This award adds to other distinctions obtained by the Corellano center in recent years in recognition of its commitment to ICT. In 2010 he received the Santillana Educational Experiences Award, in the Primary category, and the special prize for the best educational experience in Spain. Last year he won an international EducaRed award

To support this project, the Department of Education has provided the center with a teaching advisor with knowledge in the ICT sector.

With this, it is also intended to encourage and support similar initiatives that may arise in other centers in the area, such as Cintrúenigo, Fitero, etc. On the other hand, it opens the possibility of training the apymas of the area if they request it.
