'A beautiful Body', photographs of real mothers' bodies

Jade beall, mother and photographer, is the person behind 'A beautiful body', a beautiful book with a compilation of photographs of real mothers' bodies, without photoshop, showing its natural beauty.

It all started with the publication on Facebook of a self-portrait in which he appears with his children. So many women felt identified with their non-perfect mother body that it occurred to them to gather 100 mothers to photograph and to tell their own stories in a book that aims to fund through crowdfunding.

At the moment, the ones that I show you are some of the photos that will illustrate the book, so far around fifty, that will be financed thanks to a crowdfunding project, which consists in presenting a project in public so that others help you to finance it.

Meanwhile, look for mothers who want to be portrayed and have a story to tell to also include them in their work that will be finished by January 2014.

The photographs, all in black and white, capture the essence of the female body, especially women's bodies transformed by motherhood. Through its lens, it seeks to free them from the obstacles imposed on what a "beautiful" body should be. It shows the deep beauty of stretch marks, roundness and breastfeeding breasts

In his own words:

"The A Beautiful Body project is the movement of women who come together to tell their stories and celebrate their constantly changing bodies, so that future generations of women can live free from self-suffering."

I leave you with the video he has prepared to present his project, with the portraits he has made so far, in which he also explains the reasons that led him to do it (in English).
