We have been invited to the Maleficent exhibition that can be seen until May 18 in Madrid

They have invited us to see Maleficent, the exhibition which can be visited, free of charge, until Sunday, May 18 with a schedule from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Santa Barbara Palace from Calle Hortaleza, 87. As we mentioned in Peques and Más, this exhibition is part of the promotion of the premiere in cinemas on May 30 of the Disney film starring Angelina Jolie Y Elle fanning.

The exhibition is very entertaining and has attractive corners for the whole family. For example, in the first image you can see the reflection of the Sleeping Beauty with which you can take a picture of the kids in addition to the room dedicated to it with the spinning wheel and the magic mirror that replicates images of the protagonists of the film. During the exhibition they explained that this year marks the 55th anniversary of the premiere of the animated film Sleeping Beauty in which although the Maleficent character appears, it is in this film that we know his history and the reasons for his evil.

Among the great attractions of the exhibition is the Maleficent costume which was used by Angelina Jolie during the movie with the devilish horns included. In addition there are the designs of Lorenzo Caprile, with a classic and solemn version for an empress of evil and a younger and carefree, in pinkish tones, in charge of Custo Dalmau. They are also in a jewelry showcase that adorned Jolie in the film and on the walls several sketches of other designs. And in total they were hand sewn more than 2,000 suits for all the characters in the movie between warriors, peasants, kings, fairies, princes or blacksmiths. To end the tour are the terrifying Maleficent wings with which we can make an image and upload it to social networks.

Details of the original costume design of Custo Dalmau

The exhibition likes young and old, especially the latter because we were delighted with the original costumes and accessories of actresses Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning representing Maleficent and Princess Aurora respectively. The spinning wheel is also surprising, in the Sleeping Beauty room, which was used in the movie to make Princess Aurora dream even though I didn't see the needle anywhere.

The original wings of the end are made of natural feather and have a wingspan of more than two meters. They are the most distinctive feature of the character and what differentiates him from the Maleficent of the animated classic of 1959. In the film they have a great prominence that must be seen.

And to finish the exhibition there is a movie trailer that children can see while resting from so many emotions.

In the following video you can see details of the exhibition and the tour, which lasts no more than 30 minutes and in which we leave all the photos we want and that we share on social networks:
