Barcelona, capital of children's television

Barcelona becomes the capital of children's television through the conference organized by the European Children's Television Observatory and which will end on November 18. The reason for these days is only to contrast, study and reflect on the effects that some audiovisual programs have on children.

It is important that the programs that are broadcast on television especially for children have educational values and influence their training, combining entertainment with these two values is the most successful option for the broadcast of a program. That is why the European Children's Television Observatory ensures that this is the case, evaluating the creativity and educational value of the programs that are broadcast. 10 years ago this organization created the Barcelona International Television Festival for the purposes mentioned above. In this edition that has started today, 36 countries meet, contributing a total of 60 television productions that will opt for the UnicefPrize award, an award that is related to the best production that highlights ethical values, as well as the defense of human rights .

As the title of the award indicates, it is awarded by UNICEF and is a prize for good audiovisual work. Organizations such as the European Children's Television Observatory are necessary so that the broadcasts that are dedicated to children are entertaining, educational and constructive.
