International Museum Day: also for children

In May, museums are the protagonists of two international celebrations that aim to bring these institutions closer to society in a fun and festive way. International Museum Day is celebrated on May 18, and Museum Night on the 20th, so this weekend there are many activities scheduled in different museums around the world.

In Spain, the museums under the General Directorate of Fine Arts and Cultural Assets of the Ministry of Culture expand their cultural offer outside their usual schedule, and organize various activities, some of them aimed at the smallest of the house, such as children's workshops or games related to the art or theme of the particular museum.

In Madrid, for example, we can go to the Sorolla Museum, where there is a guided tour and plastic workshop for children, or the Museum of America, which also has a space for children's drawing, the National Archaeological Museum ...

From the Ministry's website you can consult the activities in several state museums, but without looking for information about the museum that interests us, in Spain or in another country, you will surely have something special prepared for these days.

A good opportunity for children to enjoy learning, and discover that Museums are a place to have fun, near. In addition, admission is usually free these days.
