"The recipes of the champions", a book to combat childhood obesity

We already know the influence that soccer idols have among the little ones. They admire them, they follow them, they want to look like them.

Knowing their popularity among children, some famous footballers such as Marcos Senna, Carles Puyol, Fabio Cannavaro and Thierry Henry have collaborated in the realization of a children's cookbook entitled “The recipes of the champions” aimed at fighting childhood obesity and promoting healthy eating habits in children between 5 and 11 years old.

In the book thirteen soccer players tell the little ones how to easily prepare their favorite food dishes. It also includes nutritional information, how to follow a healthy and balanced diet as well as nutritional tips and tricks so that children are as vital as their idols.

Of course, it also emphasizes the importance of exercising as a fundamental ingredient in leading a healthy life.

The purpose of this initiative promoted by UEFA, the World Federation of Cardiology and the European Commission is to combat childhood obesity, a disease that afflicts more and more children and causes serious problems for their health as a greater predisposition to diabetes, to suffer vascular diseases and even suffer psychological disorders.

Of course, the use of characters admired by children is a wise formula to try to instill good habits to follow.
