We have anticipated the new year and we already have at home the Teo Calendar 2010, that for the moment I am investigating myself to be able to enjoy it with my oldest daughter as soon as the year begins. The protagonist is the nice character of Violeta Denou, who goes through interesting situations every month in the beautiful illustrations.
The Teo calendar proposes activities and questions related to drawings every month, and helps children learn the days of the week, the months of the year, the phases of the moon and the seasons. I really liked the idea of the adhesives which includes the calendar, which the child can place on the days he wishes to remember, or indicate the days it rains, it is sunny or cloudy.
This year the calendar includes fun ideas to decorate the birthday party. The illustrations are related to the month in question. Each day, in its box, it is wide and hollow to write down what we want and place the corresponding stickers.
Riddles, poetry, games, songs are part of the entertainment of each month, and with surprises and desire to change leaves they will learn about the weather, the opposites, colors, numbers, will expand their vocabulary and develop their imagination.
In addition, if your children are fans of the nice redhead, we also have as a novelty a new volume of "Teo adhesives" entitled "Let's go to school" (9'95 euros, recommended from 4 years) and "The farm", within the collection "My first books of Teo" (5'95 euros, from one year). Me and my oldest daughter really like Teo's illustrations and adventures. They are naive and colorful, very everyday, and as the calendar takes advantage of all the learning and entertainment possibilities I think we will take advantage of it, although some activities still do not understand them with two years. What is certain is that we will want the time to change the month and see what new situation Teo presents us.
The calendar is presented with a cardboard box and measures 33 × 45 cm. It is edited by Timun Mas Infantil within the "Teo special books" collection, and costs 14'95 euros.
