Where is the flu?

Since he jumped the alarm about influenza AIn Babies and more we have researched and reported on the subject, especially with regard to young children and pregnant women, who constitute (or constituted) risk groups.

We have talked about the characteristics of the vaccine created only for pregnant women, we have answered frequent questions about pregnancy and influenza A, we have echoed the recommendations of gynecologists and WHO that pregnant women get vaccinated and pediatricians so that Babies also get vaccinated.

We have given 8 reasons not to get vaccinated, we recommend to continue breastfeeding in case of influenza A and we talk about cases of pregnant women who overcome the flu without major problems. We have even done a survey in which most pregnant women responded that they would not be vaccinated, for now.

In short, we covered the issue from all feasible perspectives so that you were as informed as possible and know how to act in case the dreaded H1N1 flu knocked on the door of your houses.

Having passed the beginning of classes, where there was supposed to be an outbreak due to the spread of children in schools, and two months of very cold (with snowfall included) the question is: Where is the flu?

The disease has been far from being what they announced. They also warned that in every family there would be some sick person, that all the schools would have an outbreak and that the pregnant women would have to take care of themselves especially so as not to become infected.

Now the news begins to speak of having created an excessive and interested alarm and even the Council of Europe will investigate whether there have been any tejemanejes promoted by the pharmaceutical industry in the management of the crisis.

Of course, I am glad that it was not what they announced, especially because of the vulnerability of risk groups. I'm glad we didn't have to talk on the blog about tragedies related to pregnant women or young children and influenza A.

Anyway, unless the worst is yet to come, which I don't believe, it is a good opportunity for us to reflect on the great mailbox that has been sold to us.
