Playmobil Fun Park in Malta

One of the attractions we can enjoy as a family is the Playmobil Fun Park in Malta. We made a stop at it, and my three-year-old daughter enjoyed it a lot, although I expected it to be bigger.

It is one of Malta's star stops for children. It is a small park in which the famous Playmobil figures of just over seven centimeters have grown and rise so that we can photograph ourselves with them, including animals such as horses and cows, boats, cranes or cabins on the farm.

A great Playmobil scenery in which to invent a thousand adventures. I will describe to you what exactly this is small theme park dedicated to Playmobil.

Playmobil Fun Park in Malta

In Malta is the second largest Playmobil factory in the world, and is located in an industrial estate, Hal Far, in the south of the island. The factory can be seen on a guided tour on certain days, although what interests us is the shop and the little park.

The castle-shaped entrance already leaves us a place to enjoy some Playmobil figurines, including a very funny throne in which the king's trumpets sound Every time someone sits. This place is outdoors and there is no need to pay, just like if we enter the store.

The Playmobil store is also small, and we find all kinds of figures to remember or gift to fans of these figurines. From one euro, we find all kinds of Playmobil toys, including the typical ones clicks Knights of the Order of Malta (4 euros).

If we want to access the rest of the enclosure, which I compare with a playmobil ball park, We have to pay, a fairly cheap ticket whereby children pay more than adults (2.33 euros compared to 1.17) as we say below.

A first room awaits us with divided areas for children under three years old (on the ground, with pieces large enough so that there is no danger, although I would not lose a moment because there are thousands of clicks everywhere) and older.

There are dioramas with different decorations, a circus stage with Playmobil clowns, a crane or a giant ship, all in the style of the famous toys, in which children can climb and photograph themselves.

There are also many different sets (castles, boats, farms ...) with a thousand and one figures and accessories for children to set up their scenery in a big way.

Of course, do not think to find these sets as neat and impeccable as those of Clickània, because although there are workers who are ordering the material, it is natural the disorder and some damage between so much toy ... In addition, it is about children " clutter ”more than anything else.

If we continue, we arrive at the cafeteria, and in good weather we can not miss the outdoor park, a small playground with the farm, slides, and more figures of clicks and animals (we get on cows and horses) to play a little more. The floor for the most part is sandy and children usually play barefoot here.

How to get to Playmobil Fun Park

Like most factories, this enclosure is in a industrial estate (Hal Far), south of the island, between Birzebugga and Zurrieq.

The truth is that it took us a bit to find the place, because between that there are not many indications, that the people we asked confused us and that driving on the left we were more aware of other things, because we took a few turns. Once you have taken the detour to Hal Far, the enclosure is already indicated.

If you want to arrive directly you can take from the capital, Valletta, the number 13 bus (It happens every hour or hour and a half; schedules are like this in Malta) which will take about 30-40 minutes to arrive. Although I recommend using a car to move around the island if we really want to take advantage of the day.

Playmobil Fun Park Malta opening hours and prices

The Playmobil Fun Park schedules in Malta They are:

  • Winter: from October to June, 7 days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Summer: from July to September, from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The place is frequented by local people, since as it is a cheap fun and it would be as if we decided to go to the ball park next door to have a coffee while the children have fun. When we were there, I would say that there were no tourists but some children were playing while their mothers and fathers were in the cafeteria.

(By the way, I make a subsection, there are some portions of cake that are quite known in Malta and are delicious ...).

The prices to enter beyond the store are 2.33 euros for children from 1 to 11 years old and 1.17 euros from 12 years old (free if it is after 13 hours, except weekends and holidays or days without school).

I would make sure that we will find the park open at the tourist offices before going, because on our trip to Malta I realized that official schedules are not always met in all places.

Definitely, if you go with children to Malta, the Playmobil Fun Park is a stop that you will appreciate to bring you a wonderful memory of these funny figurines that have made and continue to delight the little ones ...
