Recipes for back to school: snack flowers

It's today snack recipe in our special back to school and I thought we can make some fun sandwiches in which children can also help us cook because it is a very simple recipe. Let's prepare some snack flowers, with the help of a cookie cutter.

The recipe you can do it with stars, hearts, animals or any other form your cutter has. You can also make circles and use a glass to cut the sandwiches if you do not have a cookie cutter but in any "all at 100"you will find them for less than one euro.

Ingredients for 3 flowers

  • 6 slices of bread, 3 slices of ham, 3 cheeses in portions, and to decorate, lettuce leaves, 1 olive and some corn kernels

How to make snack flowers

The main task of our recipe for the return to school today is to cut the six flowers of bread, the flowers of ham and assemble the sandwiches. Is a good task for the kids in the house that if they participate, they will have a lot of fun helping us.

We start by cutting the bread and then carefully insert an ice cream stick in three of the loaves to make them look like lollipops. Then we spread half a cheese in portions on each flower of bread, so that it is very juicy, nutritious and passing, so that it acts as glue.

On each flower with stick we put a flower of ham of New York cut with the same cutter and cover it with the other sliced ​​cheese bread in portions. Squeeze a little so that the sandwich is well mounted.

We prepare a bowl separately mixed lettuce salad dressed with a little oil and vinegar and after mixing well we spread a layer at the base of a plate as if it were the herb.

Among the grass, we place our snack flowers and we decorate them with the help of children, making funny faces, flowers or whatever comes out. For this we use corn grains, olives, cherry tomatoes, mayonnaise ... Let your imagination fly
