Any child would dream of having a design lamp made with gummy bears, like Haribo's. The truth is that it looks quite tempting.
The bears have crossed borders and have become a source of inspiration for painters, artists and sculptors, including the New York designer Kevin Champeny who created this colorful lamp called Candelier for the Jellio furniture company.
Candelier comes in two sizes, a smaller one of approximately forty-five centimeters in diameter formed by no less than about 3000 bears and another of a larger size that is around seventy-five centimeters and has been manufactured with more than 5000 bears.
As tempting as they look, of course the bears that make up the lamp are not edible (imagine five thousand bears in full sun). Each teddy bear is made of an acrylic material, and has been cast and assembled by hand.
It costs $ 6500, so it is a real treat that very few can afford to have at home.
