The Spanish Food Safety Agency offers us very valid information on how buy, place and cook food safely, in order to avoid food poisoning.

And it does so through three videos where they explain the most basic concepts in an entertaining way and help us learn tricks and tips that we can apply very easily in our homes. The videos last less than two minutes and we provide them in this post so you can easily access.

In relation to the purchase we find very interesting recommendations such as planning, read the labels well, and at the same time understand dates of expiration and minimum duration. When carrying in the shopping cart, it is convenient to keep an order (products that do not need cold, refrigerated and frozen), and it is necessary to keep the reusable bags in good condition.

Placing food at home is not so complicated if we take good care of the advice of AESAN. Must be sort, store quickly to keep the cold chain and know how we order in the fridge: on the top shelf cooked dishes, in the central dairy and sausages, below the raw ones and in the greengrocer's drawers the vegetables and fruits.

A phrase to remember: 'first in, first out', the first thing that comes in is the first thing that comes out, so we prevent food from spoiling.

And we still have the cooking of food to prepare our dishes in the kitchen: First of all it is important to take care of personal hygiene and hygiene, hands should be washed thoroughly with soap and water. Surfaces, instruments and cloths must also be clean.

When defrosting, and in order not to alter the temperature too much, the food in question must be kept in the refrigerator for 24 hours. And of course, fruits and vegetables should be washed and dried well.

We hope you find these recommendations useful, and of course keep them in mind now that it's getting hotter.
