Club Penguin organizes at Christmas the seventh edition of its charity campaign Coins for Change

club Penguin Disney organizes the seventh edition of its annual charity campaign at Christmas 2013 Coins for Change. Until January 1, 2014 Club Penguin summons all its players to donate the virtual currencies they win in the different games of the Club Penguin Island to show your support for real world causes. With this solidarity program Club Penguin has donated 10 million dollars to charities from around the world, thus contributing to generate a social conscience among the more than 200 million players that participate in this penguin community.

Players who connect to Club Penguin can play mini-games and donate virtual coins to collaborate with solidarity projects that focus on:

  • Donate toys and warm clothes for children in the United States
  • Start up a drinking water and sanitation project for a community in Ecuador
  • Build nests for penguins in Argentina
  • Carry out the construction of an elementary school and education programs for women and children in Africa
  • Develop a project for the protection of the habitat of the lycaon and the lion
  • Enable protection zones for endangered animals, such as the snow leopard and the Saiga tatarica antelope
  • Open ten new bookstores in Ethiopia and five reading spaces for children in India
  • Build a new maternity wing in a Malawi hospital

We remember that club Penguin it is a safe virtual world for children and that Coins for Change It has become an important program to teach children how the Internet can help communities around the world.

The Coins for Change campaign throughout its history has offered help more than one million people through projects carried out in 42 countries, among which the following initiatives can be mentioned:

  • 22 schools built
  • 40 libraries
  • 33 recreation areas
  • 35 drinking water and sanitation projects for around
  • Youth participation and education programs around the world

It is very difficult to keep up with what the kids do in club Penguin in which there are many games and entertainment. In any case, I recommend playing and moving on to see what children do from time to time because they are able to handle language very quickly and perfectly understand the objectives of these types of initiatives. Parents will be surprised and we can also learn a lot with them.
