Bullying is violence, don't let it!

For some children, school vacations not only mean a break from homework and fixed schedules, but also from a mode of violence that often goes unnoticed. Bullying is violence and cannot be allowed and with this motto Save the Children has launched a campaign.

Parents and teachers must be aware that bullying is not a child's play and can cause unhappiness of children, making a dent in the development of their daily lives, in different areas.

Bullying is a form of violence in many occasions derived from the same violent behaviors in which many children and young people live and also to the conditions of inequality in their environment. And it is that violence leads to violence.

And although it is often somewhat older children who suffer from this situation, in no case should we allow it and always be attentive in case our child, smaller or larger, is suffering from it.

Parents and teachers must be attentive to discover this problem and act if necessary. These are Save the Children recommendations to stop bullying, to face the problem and protect the most vulnerable children:

  • Observe the boy or the girl. Be attentive to mood and behavior changes, motivation to study, frequent mild illnesses such as stomach pain or headaches.
