What would happen if Disney princesses had a real waistline?

From very young, and from very young, children begin to receive images of the protagonists of the movies with an unrealistic physique. Narrow belts, so much that it seems that the protagonists spend the film catching air, which are accompanied by thin bodies and stories full of machismo and inequality.

If everything were the subject of the waist there would probably not be too much trouble, because we already know that lately the drawings acquire the most unreal forms (characters with very long necks, angled shapes, stubborn legs, etc.), but of course, when they perceive many messages similar in ads, on television, in stories and in the environment, with mothers or relatives who constantly live on a diet, the risk of girls they end up obsessing with their body It is obvious.

What would happen if Disney princesses had a real waistline? Loryn Brantz, an illustrator, has modified the waist of a few Disney princesses and the result does not change the character's charisma too much. Come on, that in my view, the character is exactly the same, only that with the change it seems that he is less hungry and that he breathes better.

In the words of Brantz:

As a woman who loves Disney and has had body image problems, it has been something I have always wanted to do, especially after watching Frozen. Although I loved the movie, I was horrified to see that the main designs of female characters have not changed since the 1960s. The animation industry is historically dominated by men, and I think that contributes to the way these designs they were made, with such extreme proportions. Their necks are almost always bigger than their waists!

Some time ago we showed you a Barbie doll with much more real measurements than the real doll and the difference was remarkable. Of course, as I say the inputs are added (dolls, drawings, TV ads, etc.), the likelihood of self-image problems increases, and from there the need to change, paint, dress like this or that, all this to look better because self-esteem is impaired.

Well, answering the entry question, Disney princesses with a real waistline have absolutely nothing to envy of the originals. In fact, I see them better.
