He was told that he had had a miscarriage and seven months later he gave birth to an unexpected baby in a veiled delivery

No one could explain very well what had happened when suddenly Meredith gave birth to what looked like a baby inside the amniotic bag. Not even she or her husband Brandon.

It all started when, at six weeks of the pregnancy of his first child, doctors told him that they were very sorry, but that I had lost the baby They were waiting for a miscarriage. Seven months later, without realizing that the pregnancy went on, she gave birth to her unexpected baby in a veiled delivery.

He felt stomach cramps

They were contractions, of course, but as we read in Little Things, she thought she had severe pain in her abdomen, like sudden stomach cramps. Her husband Brandon was with her, trying to help her, until after a while she saw on the floor of the room the result of that discomfort: a baby in a bag with the placenta already detached.

They did not know what to do, they did not know how to proceed, and the risk was more than evident: when a baby is born inside the bag it is still receiving nutrients and oxygen through the umbilical cord that joins it to the placenta, which still does its job. However, if in the same delivery the placenta goes out with the baby there is no more oxygen transfer and you have to open the bag as soon as possible so that the newborn begins to breathe.

But the parents did not know this, and they were so surprised and scared that they remained motionless. He called the police for help and luckily the bag opened by itself at that moment, allowing his daughter to breathe for the first time.

But what about abortion?

It is clearly not such. In Spain the first ultrasound is done in week 12 to avoid giving bad news to parents when there is no problem. And in many cases the fetal beat it is not noticeable until beyond the tenth week of pregnancy.

There was no curettage and that is why the pregnancy continued, when no one expected it to be. The symptoms were not revealing enough and Meredith always thought that her baby stayed at that time, in that sixth week of pregnancy.

Veiled childbirth

And it didn't break waters. Because if you break waters you can still suspect that you are in labor, but it did not happen that way. The sack held, it didn't break and the girl was born wrapped in her bag, with the addition of that the placenta accompanied the baby, as in the photo that we showed you a few years ago.

In this video subtitled by UPSOCL a representation of the scene was made by the surprising thing about the event:

And what is the probability of this happening?

The odds are very low because it is unusual (but not impossible) for a mistake to be made such as telling a couple that they have had an abortion when it is not. In addition, it is unlikely that, if the baby goes on, the delivery will occur quickly, be considered cramps and that the baby is born with the added risk of going out with the placenta.

But this time it happened, and for the incredible thing about the event we tell you so that you can see that sometimes the most unthinkable things happen, and that often, when there seems to be too many impediments, there are babies who they are just born and get ahead.
