The ultimate emoji of a nursing mother that we could have soon on our keyboards

There is no doubt that emoticons have changed the way we communicate through chats. We use them to express an action, an idea or a feeling without the need to explain it in words. On the keyboard of your mobile you have the right icon for each circumstance. But of course, not everything is represented on the emoji keyboard. One is missing that may soon be integrated and would be widely used by mothers who breastfeed their babies: the ultimate emoji of a nursing mother that we could have soon on our keyboards.

It has been sent to Unicode, the organization that oversees the creation of emoji, a proposal to add breastfeeding to the official list of emoji characters, which will be considered at the next group meeting.

The proposal was submitted by Rachel Lee, a registered nurse at the University College of the London Hospital that aims to "fill a gap in the current standard that omits the most popular form of nutrition for newborn babies." And he is absolutely right, we have a bottle but nevertheless the most natural way of feeding newborns is not represented.

As we can see in Emojipedia, it was one of the most voted icons in 2016 and if it was approved, it is likely to be integrated into different skin colors.

It is not easy to get us to see a new emoticon on our mobile screens, but apparently our mother has had a good reception and has a good path.

Meanwhile, parents have applications such as Momoji or an emoticon keyboard to talk about motherhood that we can download from the Apple store or Google Play.

If the mother who breastfeeds her baby is approved at the next November meeting, the new character would be part of the 10.0 Unicode update in 2017.
