The beautiful Halloween costumes for premature volunteers

One of the toughest things there is when your baby is born is to arrive early and have to stay in the neonatal ICU. The days are very long, the family dynamic is broken and when there is a celebration you realize that you do not have neither possibility nor probably want to celebrate anything.

A group of volunteers from The March of Dimes decided that the parents of premature babies, and themselves, also had right to celebrate Halloween and that's why they created them these beautiful 'costumes'.

Costumes for babies of St. Luke's Hospital

As we read in Scary Mommy, in Kansas City, at St. Luke's Hospital, babies received their costumes to the parents' emotion, who thanked the gesture with all their love.

In addition to the costumes, they were given a Halloween "Trick or Treat" card in which they marked the footprints of each baby and brought them a handmade crochet pumpkin, full of candies, in addition to a book of Halloween stories to read (or not) to the 35 small patients admitted.

The idea was to provide a bit of warmth and affection to all the families that, due to the health status of their babies, can spend weeks, sometimes months, sharing space and time in A unit full of fears and sadness, but also of hope and joy.

To finish curling the curl, two photographers moved to the place to take the best snapshots of the babies: Emmalee Schaumburg and Sally Morrow.

I leave you with the rest of the photos of these little fighters that, with suit and without him, it is clear that they are born superheroes, for their incredible desire to live and fight.
