The vegan restaurant that prohibits the consumption of artificial animal milk explains its philosophy publicly

A few days ago we echoed the vegan restaurant standard The Vergelfrom Tarragona, which does not allow babies to be fed artificial milk that comes from cows or goats, in what is a non-controversial measure.

A few minutes ago, given that it is a topic that has spread widely throughout the Spanish territory, we have received a restaurant press release to explain its philosophy and detail how they act based on the controversial norm.

Restaurant clarifications

So that there are no misunderstandings, we copy the full press release:

Given the media dimension achieved by the news, we want to point out that in our restaurant the consumption by infants of milk of animal origin (non-human) is not admitted, and thus it is warned at the entrance of the premises and when making telephone reservations. Of course, breastfeeding is accepted.
This position is due to the fact that we want to be consistent with our philosophy of life, but at the same time we want to be respectful of that of our clients.
It is false that we have expelled anyone from the restaurant. No action has ever been taken against anyone who has ignored our plea. We have never made use of our right of admission, we have not banned anyone from entering or invited to leave. It is also false that we exclude the disabled, before on the contrary, we move tables to the lower floor to serve them better.
From El Vergel we do not consider ourselves standard bearers of any cause, nor do we judge anyone by the type of feeding of their children. We do not impose our values or ideas. We simply try to do a consistency exercise, always respecting the right of each person to maintain their opinions.
Therefore, we ask for freedom and respect to establish in our premises the norms that we believe are more convenient, that have not been discriminatory, exclusive or denigrating, nor will they ever be. We do not hate babies or families, on the contrary, they have our affection and respect. So much so that we have high chairs, high chairs for children, paintings and coloring books and board games.
