Before the final closure of Toys 'R' Us, a solidarity customer spends a million dollars on toys for disadvantaged children

Since in September of last year, Toys 'R' Us toy store declared bankruptcy, there have been more than 500 stores that have been closing in the United States, leaving only about 200 throughout the country pending an impending closure.

But before saying goodbye to this mythical toy store, an anonymous customer wanted to have an incredible gesture of solidarity with the most disadvantaged children, and CNN reports, he spent a million dollars on toys for them; a feat that has left the employees who attended to him speechless.

A very special last day of work

The events occurred in a store in North Carolina (USA) last Friday. That was going to be the last day this store opened its doors to the public, and the workers were preparing to spend the work day emptying shelves and leaving everything ready for the rental of the premises.

But in the middle of that sad day for everyone, a customer appeared whose identity has remained anonymous, willing to buy all the toys that were left for hand them over to disadvantaged children.

But since the inventory in that store was already scarce, the anonymous customer went through other Toys 'R' Us stores until he got everything he needed. Total, the solidarity buyer spent a million dollars (just over 850 thousand euros) in hundreds and hundreds of toys, which the employees were packing and loading in a truck.

So, that Friday, which initially appeared bleak for many workers of this toy store, ended up acquiring another dye thanks to the incredible gesture of this person who It has made many children happy without resources.

This huge order was made before the Toys 'R' Us chain permanently closes all stores in the United States, after 70 years of activity.

And although a few days ago we were moved by the image of the beloved giraffe Geoffrey saying goodbye after decades cheering the children, the truth is that This gesture of solidarity has put a beautiful note of color to the last days of this mythical toy store.
