TV, enemy of childhood obesity

In this case, I do not talk especially about the contents of the TV and its impact on bad eating habits in children. We'll talk about that later.

What I do mean is obesity that we could prevent in our children with just turn off the TV at home at lunchtime and share the table with the family.

Only with those two healthy gestures, can we help prevent one of the evils of the century, obesity.

According to a study conducted with children between 5 and 8 years old by American scientists, just two hours less of TV per day make children avoid obesity.

That, as well as sharing the table with parents at least once a day (without TV of course) helps children eat better.

Another interesting fact that they observed was that children who ate frequently with their parents consumed healthier foods and made fewer snacks outside of mealtime, which also helps to avoid so much "pecking."

The report also showed that children who had never been overweight watched only two hours of TV a day.

Nor is it a matter of putting all the blame on the TV on, but rather to instill in our children healthy habits such as good food, exercise, eat at the family table, outdoor life ...

Although this shows that a couple of hours of excess TV per day can be much more harmful than they benefit.
