Legalized transplants of children's organs in Russia

We have just learned a story that, despite being good, amazes us, they have just legalized the transplantation of children's organs in Russia, something that until now was prohibited. So what happened before ?, irremediably children suffering from a disease that required a transplant had two options, or go to another country to carry it out (something unlikely given the economy of most families) or die irremediably.

From now on hundreds of children will be able to save their lives thanks to a transplant, the new legal regulation that will allow it is already underway. It is really incomprehensible, why could not perform organ transplants, apparently there were various fears and moral issues against their permission. Each year, up to 500 children will be able to access a new organ that allows them to continue a life truncated by the disease. The regulation contemplates as a main condition that the donor organ extraction is performed as long as the clinical death of the donor brain has been certified.

This is a sensitive issue that Russia has addressed quite late, they should have legalized donations of children's organs quite a long time ago and not let some children die or allow their families to go through real economic troubles for life by having to find the solution in the Outside, a fact, a liver transplant in the US costs around $ 100,000.

Something that is really difficult to understand is the opposition of those who defend human rights to this new measure. They indicate that a patient cannot be recognized as dead if any organ in his body works, even if the brain does not work. To the opponents we provide a small point, the decision to allow the removal of the organs of a brain dead child concerns the parents and not them.
