The week in Babies and more: from September 24 to 30

Like every Monday, today we make a summary of what is published in babies and more last week.

I begin the summary, mentioning the note about the Tetada protest that was held at the Prado Museum, as a result of the fact that in recent days a mother was forbidden to breastfeed her baby in a museum room. Also in initiatives to promote breastfeeding we learn about a march for breastfeeding in León. We also learned from Lactaranda, a new breastfeeding support association.

Among the news related to new studies we have to relate the high consumption of fatty fish with the low birth weight, one that really seems a bit crazy, which indicates that stressed women are more likely to have girls. We also learned that overweight children are more likely to suffer heart problems in adolescence, that by reducing salt intake from childhood we can prevent hypertension in adulthood and that little sleep in childhood, less ability to learn.

Among the games and toys I can not fail to mention the small excavator for large builders that Elda showed us and that my son would surely love. On the other hand, toys manufactured in China are still news and new withdrawal of toys for excess lead is announced. And since toys with high levels of lead are already becoming so recurrent, you have to think seriously about having a homemade lead level detector. Also, in terms of safety and toys, Velsid told us about the dangers of children's toy phones.

And if you want to remember the toys of your childhood, the 20-minute newspaper has put the toys of the 80s to the vote. Thanks to Elda, we discovered the blog the toy inspector with the latest news on toys for children and also for adults.

If you are looking for ideas to distract the little ones with homemade toys, we present some very original finger puppets to make at home. And for those who prefer computer games, Velsid told us about the Wonderful Food Detective, an online game against the childhood obesity epidemic.

If you are looking for a detail for the children's room, the small sofa Dolores told us looks great and for a small baby the Hushamok hammock is very striking. But if what your little one wants is to sleep in his own convertible car you can look at the car bed for your little Alonso. Another detail for the children's room we discussed was the swivel armchair for children of Ikea. In addition Dolores also gave us some useful and practical ideas to organize the children's wardrobe.

Among other news we have the announcement of the withdrawal of 148,000 units of Blevit Digest due to the risk of botulism and that the baby check may amount to 3,500 euros

We also talked about giving birth without epidural, advance or backward ?, Thrombophilia, which causes 60% of recurrent abortions, Elda presented us with the decalogue for rational consumption in the care and education of children and Dolores told us about child support In Spain, we learned that the skin can stretch up to 10 times during pregnancy and Dolores shared with us her analysis: second-class chairs, which one to buy?

Finally, I do not forget to mention the gallery of beautiful photos of babies under water that are well worth a look.

So far the summary and good week for everyone.
