One in three children eat what they want

A study conducted by the Sanitas Foundation on habits and lifestyles, shows that one in three children eat what they wantOn the other hand, it is also clear from the study that up to 50% of children reject the food that their parents put on the table. Without a doubt, these are worrying data that show the reason for the growing rate of overweight and obesity. If we add little physical activity to this, the cocktail is served and the proliferation of the so-called 21st century epidemic is guaranteed.

The conclusions of the study were obtained based on the statistical data collected from 1,620 families with children aged between 6 and 14 years. Remember that not long ago, in the post, what food do children receive? We showed a study carried out by the Mediterranean Diet Foundation in which it was shown that there were many children who had not yet enjoyed an orange or a tomato, or of many other healthy foods that are necessary for proper nutrition. They are alarming data taking into account the great effort that is made to inform about the most appropriate nutritional guidelines for children. Only 10% of the children participating in the survey willingly accepted everything that parents provided them to eat (it would be necessary to know whether it is healthy food or not). For their part, most of the mothers surveyed indicate that the diet and the pace of life have changed significantly.

The acquisition of eating habits begins with the introduction of solids in the baby's feeding, getting used to it as it develops to all those healthy foods is essential. It is a constant job, but in the end the benefits are more than satisfactory, a healthy child who develops properly.
