We have already commented that the market for children's organic products has increased by 22% because more and more families are betting on this type of food due to the advantages that it entails. But many times due to lack of accessibility or because they are still more expensive products, this option is ruled out.
What if our children's school offered organic food at no extra cost? I think it is an excellent idea and at least the children will have the main meal of the day with the highest quality of nutrients and without added chemicals.
And this is already happening at the La Muntanyeta public school in Barcelona where students enjoy a menu with more than one 70% food certified organic: fruit, vegetables, lactic, veal, pork and chicken, pasta, legumes, olive oil, spices and other foods.
The idea came from the educational services company Pam i Pipa, which proposed the change to the Association of parents of the students and the school board, and among all carried out.
The APECPAE association applauds and supports this initiative, and they want to promote new projects.
Parallel to the improvement in food, the school is doing educational and recreational activities aimed at students and their parents to raise awareness of organic farming, its relationship with the environment, raise awareness about the origin of what we eat and how to improve the family's diet with healthy recipes and cooking workshops.
