Kineteca: children's cinema at the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid

Summer evenings without school can be very fun if we dedicate ourselves to entertain with friends, family or alone in a thousand different ways. On the street, at home, reading, painting, playing ... or In the museum watching children's movies!

It is the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid that has launched the "Kineteca. Children go to the movies", which from yesterday June 18 to July 12 develops a free cycle of experimental cinema, video and animation for children between 4 and 12 years old.

The projected audiovisual productions enhance the active reception of children and as indicated on the museum's website they show different stories to which children are used to watching on television or commercial cinema, which in principle sounds pretty good.

The projection days are Wednesday and Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at noon. Access is free, and there is a capacity of 140 locations. You can check the programming in this document.

In addition, the "Making Of" workshops, where children become creators of their own audiovisual productions, so they can also give free rein to their creativity. Surely little geniuses participate!

Participation in the workshops is also free although you have to register previously in the telephone of Madrid 91 774 10 00 ext. 2032. The dates on which they will be held are from June 23 to 27 and from June 30 to July 4, from 11.00 to 13.30.

They seem to me very interesting and different proposals For the little ones. Let's see if any parent tells us their experience!
