Homo Baby Boom: documentary about homoparental families

A few days ago the FLG (Associació de Famílies Lesbianes i Gais) presented a documentary entitled Homo Baby Boom directed by Anna Boluda and produced by the same association.

The documentary is born from the need to promote a tolerant and respectful society showing the reality of six homoparental families that teach us what their daily life is like, much more similar to that of traditional families than many think.

Diversity is a fact, the lifelong family model has branched out and today there are few that remain as they were those of our parents or grandparents. Gay couples with children, lesbian couples with children, single mothers, separated mothers, separated mothers married to separated men with children from their previous marriages and with their own children, separated mothers married to separated men with children from their previous marriages and without children own and a long etcetera. The work of society is to accept reality and above all be tolerant and respectful, values that we try to instill in our children but that we often forget ourselves.

The documentary has a duration of 27 minutes, is shot in Catalan with the possibility of watching it subtitled in Spanish and can be found on the HomoBabyBoom website.

A 9-minute school version has also been published for primary and secondary school students so that they know this reality and see that, as I say, it is as acceptable as their own.

As the Association says: "Do not doubt anyone: it is love he who creates a family "

I leave a trailer of the documentary:
