How to stimulate baby's feet

In addition to being one of the most beautiful and tender parts of your body, baby's feet are very important for their development and proper growth.

That plump aspect they have is due to the fact that the plantar arch is not formed until two years and the region is filled with fatty tissue. When you start walking you start exercising the muscles that help form the arch. Meanwhile, we can stimulate baby's feet through some techniques.

Through the work of motor and sensory stimulation we provide you with more means to favor crawling and then walking, in addition to contributing to your awareness of your own body.

  • Massage your feet. Massages are very beneficial for babies. In addition to pampering, they help create bonds and strengthen the baby's muscles. After the bath you can do massages throughout the body stopping for a while on the feet. You should make slight pressure with your thumbs on the sole of the foot, from the heel to the toes, gently stroking each finger.

  • To walk without shoes. Whenever you can take off your shoes so that the baby is comfortable and always take them off to sleep (provided they are warm, of course)

* Sensations. Make him walk barefoot on different surfaces such as sand, grass, carpets ... so you can experience different sensations and enhance the sense of touch, just like with your hands or mouth.

  • Games. Play with the baby's feet, count the fingers, tickle, put on socks with jingle bells, make him touch your hands when kicking ... there are a lot of games that can be invented. They love "this bought a little egg".

Remember also that it is very important for the baby to wear appropriate shoes that accompany the natural development of the foot and avoid deformities.

They have to be breathable, light and very flexible shoes that give you the feeling of being barefoot. The fingers should not be cramped, but it is also not convenient for the shoe to be too wide. You must hold but with freedom.
