How to make Easter cookies

Easter holidays are an ideal occasion to mess with the kids in the kitchen to prepare Easter cookies.

The preparation of cookies is very simple, ideal for children to make them with some help from the elderly. Surely in each house there is a particular recipe for festive cookies, but just in case I tell you mine. Too easy.

Cookie recipe:

75 grams of sugar 5 egg yolks (the egg whites are left for the glaze) 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence 100 grams of soft butter 50 grams of flour 50 grams of cornstarch

1) Mix the sugar, the yolks, the vanilla essence and the butter until it becomes a paste.

2) Add the sifted flour with the cornstarch until a soft and tender dough is left.

3) Stretch the dough on the previously floured table leaving it thin and cut it with cutting molds related to Easter. Here I found some egg-shaped bunnies and chicks. You can also make your own molds cut in hard cardboard and buttered.

Once the cookies are made, the greatest fun is to decorate them. There are endless ways to do it, it all depends on the imagination and your cooking skills. The dyeing glaze of different colors is the most classic, but you can use other simple ones such as inserting chocolate balls, caramelitos, mostacillas or decorating them with sugar tubes or colored gel to decorate cakes and cookies.

In the blog Food & Cook they teach us step by step how to prepare cookies and excellent alternatives of how we can decorate them in an original way.

Finally, if the pastry is not your thing but you do not want to stop savoring or inviting the rest of the family with tempting Easter cookies, you can go to Kukis where you can buy sets with several cookies or individual cookies.

May they be good!
