The emotional photograph of a mother with cystic fibrosis, who had been told that she could not have children

The photographs of babies are usually very special for the family, because it is not only a way to capture the beauty and fragility of the smallest of the family, but they are also a celebration of life.

For a mother, the photograph of her and her newborn baby, accompanied by 65 purple roses, represents something very special, because He managed to fulfill his desire to be a mother, although he was told that he could not have children for cystic fibrosis.

Mackenzie Bentley-Moult, the mother in the picture next to her baby, you have an inherited disorder called cystic fibrosis, which progressively damages the lungs and digestive system over time.

Because of this condition, when he received the diagnosis his doctors had told him that he could never have children, because your body would suffer and not be able to gain or maintain your weight during pregnancy, and this would be very heavy for your heart.

However, and despite all discouraging prognosis, Mackenzie managed to conceive and have a healthy pregnancy from beginning to end, without presenting any complications. It is because of that He decided to hold a very special photo session, in which he would celebrate the life of his son, whom he considers a miracle.

In Babies and moreThe photo of the baby "double rainbow" that symbolizes the struggle they went through to conceive it

For this, he contacted the photographer Tara Ruby, with whom we talked and kindly gave us permission to publish the beautiful photograph he took of Mackenzie and her baby. Together, they thought of a way to include in the photograph the cystic fibrosis that Mackenzie suffers, and for this, they chose to use 65 purple roses.

And why 65 roses in purple? For starters, because that is the color with which they identify cystic fibrosis. And the 65 roses, come from a story dating from 1965, in which a four-year-old boy hearing the name of the disease in English (cystic fibrosis) understood "sixty-five roses" (65 roses), and over the years, it became another way of teaching children the name of the disease.

For that reason, A total of 65 roses appear in the photograph: 64 around Mackenzie and one in her baby's hand, which is wrapped in a purple blanket, and resting on his mother's shoulder.

Tara, the photographer, expects this photograph inspire other mothers who for some reason told them that it would be difficult to have children, so as not to lose hope. "I think it's a story that other mothers need to hear"he concludes.
