The car is not a place for children to be alone

It is clear that affirm that the car is not a place for children to be alone It is something that breeds little debate, or so I think. Logic tells us that the car is not really a habitable place, unless it is underway, and that it is simply a means of transportation.

This logic is confirmed when the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) states that "Even if the windows go down a few centimeters, it takes just 10 minutes for a vehicle to reach a deadly temperature on a hot summer day".

Every summer comes some news that tells the death of a child to be forgotten inside the car. Without going any further than two weeks ago, a three-year-old boy who his mother forgot in the car for five hours died near Bilbao. It is a very serious oversight that unfortunately has happened other times and surely these people were quite clear that the car is not a suitable place for children to be left alone. However, I have also been able to find news of parents who have voluntarily left their children in the car.

Cases like that of a father who left his three children 18 months and 4 and 6 years old with the car running and double-row to go to dinner at a restaurant, the father who left his children 6 and 7 years old in the car to go watch a football game (and for more INRI he was arrested, with his children staying 20 hours in the car) or the mother who left his 5-year-old son in the car to do some shopping at the mall are clear examples of the danger that leaving Children alone in a car.

It is incredible to think that in 10 minutes a car can reach a temperature of 60ºC and it is necessary to know that It may take 30 to 60 minutes for a child to suffer severe dehydration..

That is why it is essential that those forgetful people (I can hardly understand that someone can forget their child in a car, but as you have seen it happen) use some reminder method. Or put a sticker on the steering wheel, or a rearview mirror to see our son, or go singing with him or talking to him, or whatever one does best to remember that our son is behind.
