3D TV, a risk for pregnant women

Like radiation or tobacco smoke, see 3D TV may pose a risk to pregnant women.

This is warned by the manufacturer of 3 D TVs Samsung on a website on the dangers of contemplating three-dimensional images for certain people, including pregnant women.

It does not give details or the reason for the risk, but states that "pregnant women, elderly people, people with certain diseases, with sleep problems or under the effects of alcohol should avoid seeing 3D images."

Except for easy dizziness and nausea, I find no sense in the ban. I have been investigating the possible risks of stereoscopic images in pregnant women, but I have not found any specific ones, beyond the visual risks, loss of stability or disorientation that they can cause in any person.

The first impression is that it seems a way to cover your back to possible claims, especially since it is a new technology that still has a long way to go, but still attracts attention.

First, to put a pregnant woman at the level of a person "under the influence of alcohol." And second, and we can also see it often in other areas, that the pregnant woman is seen as a sick or weak person.

Some pregnant women may be more sensitive to stereoscopic images, but come on, like any other person regardless of being pregnant or not.

If there is an expert in the room who can explain the dangers, they will be welcome in the comments.

Meanwhile, if you are pregnant and cannot resist watching 3D TV, at least do so in moderation.
