Scarlet Benjamin is an eleven month old baby from Georgia, United States, who tenderizes the world with his reaction upon hearing for the first time the voices of his sister and his mother thanks to headphones.
The baby was born three months earlier than expected and suffered a very serious bacterial infection in premature babies known as necrotizing enterocolitis, a disease that causes the destruction of parts of the intestine.

As explained by his mother Carol Dianne on Facebook, to treat the infection he had to take an antibiotic that caused him to lose his hearing. The parents looked for specialists who could help the little girl and turned to a specialized center where she received hearing aids indicated for her condition.
