"CuentAutismo" is an anthology of children's stories aimed at sensitizing society about autism, which has gone on sale for charitable purposes.
And this initiative aims to help the ProTGD Association, a non-profit organization belonging to the Federation 'Autismo Madrid' and the Confederation 'Autismo España', which develops services and programs aimed at people with generalized developmental and spectrum disorders autistic (TGD / TEA).
Nearly twenty Spanish and Latin American writers have created these stories that deal with autism spectrum disorders and that are published within the "Literature + Solidarity" campaign, which combines the objective of encouraging the reading of the little ones and being an awareness and awareness tool about autism.
The Literature + Solidarity campaign, since its creation in 2003, has seen works related to cancer, Caritas, NGOs, fibromyalgia, different disabilities ... In this case, the full amount collected with each book is intended to finance activities and programs that allow attend, help and improve the quality of life of people with TGD / ASD.
The compiler and coordinator of the book is the journalist and writer Rubén Serrano and, next to him, the authors are Dorina Clark, Lydia Alfaro, Vicente García Oliva, Ana González, María Sagrario Saelices, Roque Pérez Prados, Loli González, José Carlos Atienza, Obed González Moreno, Megan Maxwell, Lydia Syquier, Pedro Escudero Zumel, Angelica Santa Olaya, María Delgado, María Victoria Bathrobe, Sergi Llauger, Melanie Taylor Herrera and Magnus Dagon. The illustrator is Ana González.
Through the stories, the little ones (and the older ones) will understand that autistic children like to have friends and do fun things, even if they fail to express it. They may also need someone to help them, and you have to know how to act with them. Therefore, the stories propose an adequate approach to them and teach to be patient and kind, a need that children who do not know anything about this disorder may not understand.
