Support for maternal emotional bond and difficulty in postpartum

Mothers, after childbirth, especially if it has been traumatic or if they have been separated from the newborn, may experience emotional difficulty connecting with their child and living motherhood consciously and joyfully. Today I present a beautiful project designed to give support for maternal emotional bond and difficulty in postpartum.

It is a personal project of a group of mothers who have gone through this circumstance and want to offer their experience and listening to other women who go through it.

Although postpartum depression is a real and under-diagnosed problem, the emotional difficulty in the postpartum does not always lead to it and can be resolved precisely with listening and containment, returning to the mother the understanding of her feelings and the confidence in her ability to care for Your baby and attend all your needs.

It is estimated that at least 10% of mothers may suffer emotional difficulty in postpartum, which is about 50 or 75,000 women each year in Spain. This problem causes suffering and isolation for them and their environment, but it would also harm the baby and its development if it is not possible to solve.

That is why I applaud this initiative of these women who want to offer support for bonding and emotional difficulty in postpartum.
