Treasure Tracking, a very fun game

As I told you in the previous topic I have spent a few days in a meeting of families of the Epysteme Association. We were at least 200 people and there were many children of all ages. Among the many things we live, and of which I have told you about how I met Armando, we organized a very fun game: treasure tracking. I will explain what it is so you can enjoy it with your children.

We were in a very large hostel, with several floors, dining room, game rooms, garden and playground, and we set it up for children three years and older, but you can easily adapt it to the place and age of the children. My 10-year-old son and our dear 14-year-old Pablo helped me to ride it, who is a charming boy, full of life and empathy, always willing to give his best to others and with infinite patience with this bossy Impatient that it is me. It was a success.

To make this tracking game you will need little material to The tracking: sheets of paper, zeal, pencil, and above all a lot of imagination. We did not give more prize than the participation but you can, if you want, add some little thing, goodies for everyone or cheap toys, so that the end of the crawl ends with a treasure.

First we were thinking about the place, inventing places where hide the clues and then writing, with rhymes, each one of them.

Each paper carries a more or less complicated poem that we write between the three and that leads to the place where the next clue is until we reach the end of the treasure tracking game.

The kids had a great time. In our game, Pablo, who played the role of guide, which is always convenient for someone to assume, was in charge of running from one place to another with the children, reading the clues aloud and helping them find the way if they misled . They were excited, hilarious. Sharing the experience children from three years helped by the elderly and even welcoming in the game some with motor difficulties that did not leave behind.

We prefer not to make teams, so that everyone participates at the same time, helping each other, without competing with each other, collaborating, and I can assure you that without wanting to win the others they enjoyed equally.

The treasure tracking game children are always passionate, encouraging imagination and the ability to analyze texts, while helping to develop skills such as guidance and cooperation, and we can adapt it to all ages and to any space, even inside the home.

I encourage you to prepare the fun treasure tracking gameand then tell us how it developed. I am sure it will be a success.
