"Ara y Belbo" is an educational game that favors the development of perception and spatial orientation of the smallest, as well as attention, memory and visual perception. An interesting didactic application for Early Childhood Education designed for dissemination through the Internet.
It is a resource awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Education in 2010 for the development of educational materials developed for online use, and that includes very attractive and entertaining proposals.
It's formed by 78 activities that children can perform when they have basic skills with respect to the use of the mouse, such as locating with the cursor active areas, chopping, dragging and dropping objects or activating events with the left button.
This set of activities is designed as a complementary material to use in the children's classrooms, expanding, reinforcing and stimulating self-learning, although they are perfectly suitable to perform at home with our children.
All activities revolve around Ara and Belbo, two pixies, boy and girl, who live in a forest. The application starts offering children the possibility to choose which character they want to play with.

My three and a half year old daughter has tried several games, and some have loved them and we have repeated them several times, such as forming symmetries completing figures, colors, couples ... Other activities are indicated for somewhat older children, but In general we can talk about games for children from three to six years.
I especially liked the visual aesthetics of the application, in which a mixed technique has been chosen that, as a collage, combines drawing and photography, favoring a more complex perception.
Music also occupies a very important place in the application, accompanying different activities and contributing to create different environments: relaxed, mysterious, dynamic spaces.
