A family that charges 238,000 euros per year will receive a daycare grant

I am not an expert in political sciences nor do I intend to be, but there are things that fall so easily fall by their own weight and today I am going to explain one of them: there are families who are very bad about money and should receive help to raise their children and there are others who, for better money, should not be entitled to such aid.

This principle that all the parents of the world accept because, despite everything, we are supportive, does not seem to be understood in La Rioja (and think that I am Rioja), where a family of three members who receive a total income of 238,000 euros a year will be awarded a scholarship for kindergarten.

It is not that they are going to give it to this family and they will take it away from another with less income, but apparently the leaders of this community have decided grant a daycare assistance to all people who request it, whatever your income level.

If you enter to assess the income of all the families that are on the waiting list for the so-called "chiquibecas", it is easy to realize that most of them have a fairly comfortable economic situation. Of the entire list there are 152 applicants with income per member of the family unit between 15,000 and 20,000 euros (I repeat, per member). There are 40 whose incomes are between 20,000 and 25,000 euros, 13 receive between 25,000 and 30,000 euros, 6, between 30,000 and 35,000, a family is between 35,000 and 40,000 per family unit member, three families between 45,000 and 50,000, a family between 50,000 and 55,000 and the last between 75,000 and 80,000 euros of annual income.

If my family had to be placed on this list we would have to enter a group not contemplated, which is the one that receives less than 15,000 euros per member of the family unit, that is, that they would give me the surety scholarship. However, here in Catalonia I would see them black to receive such aid (if I wanted my children to go to daycare).

The crux of the matter is that while giving money to families whose economic situation is, in principle, more than correct, works such as that of a Library, the "Rafael Azcona", are paralyzed in the city of Logroño, whose opening was planned For last spring.

I It is surprising that at the time we are living there is no better use of public money. I am the first to advocate for families to get ahead, to encourage birth, to increase maternal and paternal leave and for parents to spend more time with their children, but to help families like the one mentioned, which charges in one year what my family will take to charge about seven years seems to me out of place.

In any case I do not know what I think is worse, if giving a help to a family that receives an annual income of 238,000 euros or sign up on the waiting list for a daycare grant when you are charging such figures. Everyone who issues his judgment.
