"Playing with words" and the seasons of the year

Autumn has arrived and together with a musical proposal to celebrate it we bring you another way to approach the seasons of the year in a fun way, with games and children's activities on the Internet, related to the vocabulary of the seasons.

"Playing with the words" It is a project that offers a good number of activities with which we can work on the vocabulary of several topics, a resource is created by the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands through the Medusa Project, within the framework of the Agreement “Internet in the Classroom".

Fundamentally it is about literacy activities, in which the little ones will be able to move forward with our help, although there are also some localization of drawings in which they only need to pay attention to the words that are heard.

The Medusa project consists of various digital contents that can be used for free through the web, designed for the Children's classroom, but in this case perfectly suited to perform at home with children from the age of three and know a little more about autumn, winter, spring and summer.

A narrator welcomes us by inviting us to know a little more about the seasons of the year, and to begin with we must choose between the level of difficulty and the typeface (upper or lower case). Next, we present the four seasons with activities to listen and locate words, guess the letters, relate the words to their drawings ...

To all this is added a graphic dictionary with the words related to the stations that can be read and heard if we click on the corresponding drawing.

"Playing with words" and the seasons of the year is a fun educational resource to learn a little more about the letters, words and objects or nature that accompany us at each time of the year.
