It is the turn of another of the great works of the Disney / Pixar factory as 'Up'. A very recent movie and sure many remember. A masterful story that had the privilege of inaugurating the Cannes Festival (something not usual in animated films) and then garnered numerous positive reviews (and two Oscars).
'Up' is another one of those contemporary classics That seems like a perfect movie to watch with the children as a family. A great adventure full of imagination, feelings, emotion and tremendously fun. Without forgetting that your technical invoice is as high as your title.
And yet, Pixar innovates again offering a very history smart which also dazzles the adult audience and stars an old man. The endearing Carl Fredriksen who manages to conquer the hearts of the spectators.
What counts
'Up' is a story about the adventure of Carl Fredriksen, an old balloon seller who achieves his life's dream by hooking thousands of balloons to his house (threatened to tear it down to make newer modern constructions). And so he manages to travel by air to South America.
On the trip he is accompanied by stowaway the young Russell, an eight-year-old boy scout very optimistic and charlatan. Both will live an authentic adventure in search of dreams of old Fredriksen.
We like it because ...
It is a wonder from start to finish. A story touching, very human, fun and in which the characters are among the best, and that is, Pixar.
The first minutes, which are the beginning of the story but also a flashback to present the protagonist, are considered a true masterpiece. A whole life compressed in just a few quick scenes that immediately give us an accurate idea of how Mr. Fredriksen feels and what he feels.
The animation, the adventure, the emotion, the 3D,… I feel overwhelmed with so many compliments, but it's really one of the best animated films of recent years and it seems essential for children.
Values transmitted by 'Up'
There are many readings that are drawn from such a complete and human story. Of course, the fight for dreams, a search full of faith and feeling that can make sense of what we do. But we also find the meaning of goals in life, which motivates us to keep moving forward.
Of course, an exaltation to the relationship between the two protagonists follows fellowship, precisely in a very atypical couple. A grumpy and lonely old man and a laughing and laughing boy.
We also found a I appreciate nature, to preserve the authentic, with respect to the animals (nevertheless in the film its protagonists fight to free some dogs turned into slaves). It can also be seen in the evolution of the character of the old man how he is infected with the innocence, illusion and honesty of the child, which helps him in critical moments and of which we see the importance of respecting children and paying attention even if they are full of fantasy and restlessness.

An adventure full of humor, emotion, attractive and well-presented characters ... all this makes it fully enjoyable for children from three and four years.
Of course, the visual appeal, colorful and full of details will captivate you, without a doubt. There are good editions on DVD and Blu-ray with extra content to enjoy with the story of 'Up'.
