The first guide on unintentional injuries in minors has been presented.

Baby Due, the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital (HSJD) and the Toy Technology Center (AIJU) have published the "Learning to prevent" Safety Guide. And they have done it because (against popular belief) unintentional injuries of the little ones, have a lot to do with the lack of attention on the part of adults.

Is about a monograph that aims to offer practical tools to parents and other caregivers so that they can avoid such incidents, which often have to do with the ignorance of the necessary preventive actions when you are with children (especially babies or very young). The best prevention is always care. The guide offers recommendations to caregivers to protect children, and advice to avoid risks, appropriate to the age of children.

In most cases, 50% of accidents that occur at home could have been avoided. This alarming fact is what has led to the elaboration of the first guide on unintentional injuries in minors.

Each year, as a result of unintentional injuries, more than 8,000 children between 0 and 5 years of age are hospitalized in our country, all because of preventable injuries. Therefore, in this guide, we wanted to emphasize the importance that caregivers have in protecting the baby against all the risks that may appear

In this guide we will find advice ordered by different age groups, as well as practices recommended by experts to prevent this type of injury from occurring.

From Peques and Más we always try approach prevention as the best tool against childhood accidentsThat is why we welcome this Guide and congratulate its creators for the initiative. We hope you all find it useful.
