I Chess Days in Navacerrada from November 9 to 11, 2012 to check the ADHD

The first are going to be celebrated Chess Days in Navacerrada the weekend of November 9-11, 2012. They are organized by the City Council of this beautiful city of the Sierra de Madrid, the Chess Club 64 and the Mental Health team of Collado Villalba. They are days for children and leisure monitors, therapists, nurses, doctors, teachers and other professionals and the general public.

The aim of the conference is to demonstrate that the Chess it is not only an ancient game but it is also a educational and therapeutic tool for hyperactive children and adolescents. So the celebration of this I Chess and ADHD Congress (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is very important because it will explain the social and educational importance of chess. And it is that chess is considered so beneficial that it seems that it is very interesting to prevent diseases such as senile dementia or Alzheimer's.

The Chess Club 64 Villalba with the president, Luis Blasco de la Cruz, explained that this project is very important because in the club they work to check the ADHD and for that they carry out specific exercises to enhance the calculation, memory or concentration of children in addition to ensuring that children relate socially.

Luis Blasco de la Cruz, whom we are looking forward to interviewing in Peques and Más to explain more details of the activities they perform in the Chess Club of Villalba, has indicated that Jaque Mate to ADHD does not seek to form champions, but to become a example more of why Spain is the world leader in social chess applications.

All interested parents and chess fans have an appointment on November 9, 10 and 11, 2012 in Navacerrada. There is much more information of interest on the complete web page of the Navacerrada City Council.
