Three (great) plans in the snow with kids

Christmas, white Christmas. What better time than Christmas for our little ones to discover for the first time the snow, the mountains and the magical world of a ski resort or a completely white mountain. Once we have decided that one day in the snow is the best of the Christmas days, what can we do to make the baby I had a great time?

To play!

What an emotional moment to discover the new world that awaits them: the first time they touch the sea, the first time they are on the beach, they see a horse or they see the snow! Ski or not, this Christmas is the perfect time to approach the nearest station and to play!

-Let them get used to it: with the right clothes let's throw them with them through the snow, on the slopes, with the help of a sled. There are sledges of little weight and with a firm base, especially prepared for babies.

  • Let's develop your fine motor skills by building toys With every little detail. We will need material that we should take from home: from a carrot for the nose to a scarf or black olives for the eyes.

All this makes them familiar with the environment and who knows if it will be the first step to an eternal passion for skiing.

His first igloo

What can be more exciting than build an igloo and spend a few moments of games on it? It seems impossible? It is the simplest: with a few simple buckets of water in the appropriate way we will make "cheese" in the way that cheese is made in the sand. The little one may have already been on the beach and it will be most familiar.

The buckets must be large and in them we must mix the snow with water for a dough to form. With them, in the manner of bricks, we will stack each "cheese" on the rest. Don't you see it clearly? In numerous videos like this it shows you step by step.

Once back home, if the experience has enchanted you, we can build an igloo in your room in an equally simple and cheap way thanks to polyspan trays.

Until the Kilimanjaro!

Well, it's an exaggeration but if we are lovers of mountaineering and we want our little one to be, or at least try it, a mountain day It may be the best way to spend a day in nature.

Some recommendations must be taken into account:

Toddlers can go to the mountains, perfectly up to 1800 meters, but let's start with slow and gradual accelerations so that your body acclimates to the pressure. My little one is not yet ready to ski but can enjoy playing with the snow or on the sled, or just walking to the parents back , warm in your backpack.

If our child is still a baby we must take into account several fundamental aspects: Babies suffering from anemia or having heart problems, even if they are mild, should not be taken to high altitudes, since the adaptation to the least amount of oxygen in the air can make your acclimatization inadequate. We also can't take it if you have earache, since it can increase with the change of pressure and turn a slight pain into something unbearable.

We must know that the snow tires a lot more than walking through dry terrain: therefore the stages of the route should be programmed shorter and longer breaks.
