Children recommend to their parents laughs, games, kisses and hugs to cope with the crisis

In difficult times, the most vulnerable are the ones who suffer the most: here we find families with unstable children and income, the elderly and a lot of groups with special needs.

Small dramas hit us day by day and then get lost in the magnitude of the figures. Meanwhile, we only hear of a lack of political consensus, of a decrease in productivity, of financial systems. Ultimately, as UNICEF denounced a year ago, children are the poorest group in Spain, do you know what is happening? It is a rhetorical question (as my son would say) because it is more than obvious that as soon as they are explained, and that they are able to look around, they realize that things have changed.

The TNS consultant carried out in 2012 the study 'Perception of the reality of Spanish children: another vision of the crisis', carried out in February 2012. The analysis consisted of interviewing more than 1,200 children between 6 and 12 years old residents in Spain.

The children affirm that 'crisis' is the word they have heard most lately, even above two of the ideas that are most recurring in their conversations. These are the names of very famous footballers, in this regard I doubt that my children use them regularly, among other things because we don't like football and have not become fond of it on their own. Of course: they also usually hear about crisis.

Parental concern is perceived in children, and physical and mental fatigue (due to stress) It is outlined as a cause for parents to play less with them, be in a worse mood and laugh little.

Children are able to propose solutions for the elderly to cope with the situation in the best possible way: the formula would be more laughs, games kisses and hugs.

The children also advise their parents to take more care of their food, sleep more and work less, so they feel better. They know what they want, though it's not always easy to put a good face on bad weather, and that is not the fault of the parents.

Many parents have to make a about effort to feel close to children, so that family ties do not suffer, despite the circumstances. Meanwhile, I still do not perceive a real interest on the part of the leaders of this country in the welfare and future of families.
