The world of teenage girls seen from inside their rooms

A teenager's room is a kind of refuge where to reaffirm your identity, and feel 'safe' from parents' eyes and recommendationsThis is what I see, but it is also a place that reflects the place of origin, aspirations, hobbies and social situation of the family.

I think that at this age (more than when they are young) they should be allowed to express themselves and turn the room into that impregnable place where they dream, get excited and rebel against the adult world.

Why do I tell you this? Because it is what inspires me the collection of images that Rania Matar has included in the 'a girl and her room' portfolios.

They are photographs of girls who are comfortable in their favorite place, but who they also look at the camera without blushing, knowing that in a few years they will become adults and can decide on their own lives.

They are young people who want to be beautiful, but who want to maintain their inner beauty. And here you have them ..., they will live in Europe, Asia, America or Africa, but probably what unites them is more than what sets them apart.

I hope you like them.
