This summer keep bacteria away from your meals on the field or the beach

If a few weeks ago, we brought you a series of ideas (from eBayers) to enjoy a good family plan with food in the field included, now we want to bring you the recommendations of the Spanish Agency for Food Safety, to avoid food poisoning of summer , also away from home.

From AESAN, they tell us that 'bacteria love summer', because heat favors its growth in food. Therefore, now more than ever, it is essential to remember these good tips.

Get ready for a bacteria-free picnic or barbecue

Before leaving, the Cooked food should be kept in the refrigerator until the last minute. When preparing and introducing the food in the corresponding containers, we will remember that the raw foods should be separated from the cooked ones, the fruit and vegetables should be washed well, and we will curdle the tortillas properly. Each food will be kept in its container until lunchtime.

From foods (sauces, ice cream) containing raw eggs, we can forget

In order to keep the cold chain, we can store food that needs cold in the portable refrigerator, and we will preferably help ourselves with the cold storage batteries (In case of opting for ice cubes, melted water should not be allowed to come into direct contact with food).

We are already in the field, sandwiches and salad or barbecue?

I want to remember that in summer, barbecues in natural spaces are usually prohibited, not even in places equipped for it, but the tips can be used when we have guests and have dinner on the terrace of the house

It is very important that the portable refrigerator is kept in the shade, and there is no need to open it unnecessarily, because we lose cold every time we perform this action.

The wood that we will use for roasting should be of first use, and if possible without resins, varnish remains or paints. Until we have the embers ready, the meat (or the fish - I would never take it to the field -) is not taken raw!

And once we are cooking them, perhaps it would be convenient to make small cuts to facilitate good internal cooking. And let's not fool ourselves because 'churrascado' is not equal to well done!, because this extreme culinary techniques, in addition to that may imply that the food is not well done inside, is unhealthy.

At all times, hands very clean, even (away from home) with bottled water. You know, bacteria can come even if they're not invited, our role is to avoid them.
