As topics highlighted in the seven days whose contents I will summarize now, we could highlight those that are related to The education of our childrens, and all of them allow us to reflect on what the education system offers us, and what we can do from home to reinforce their knowledge.
We have discovered why Finland makes a difference in educational results (although the truth is that it is not new that we talk about the education system in that Nordic country). And we were delighted to be told that reading is so important that two or more bookshelves with books increase the chances of our children being good students. Or that the children they need to sleep well to perform better, because a restful sleep also influences academic results, according to one of the editors of the TIMSS / PIRLS tests.
And speaking of readings, let me recommend "Bowen Island" if you have older children, it is a great tribute to Jules Verne, and the adventure novel; and "The Way" by Miguel Delibes. We have also taken care to review (because we consider it a very necessary project) "Once upon a time", the opportunity for the usual stories.
And you could say that Halloween has taken second place in importance in Peques and Más during the last days: mummies that are eaten, the celebration of Faunia, and the twenty-seventh edition of "The Night of the Souls" in Soria.
I'm going straight to our leisure section, and I do it telling that it has been a pleasure to have Miguel Sicilia (of Kandor Graphics), director of "Justin and the sword of courage", as interviewee. And glad we were able to witness TRENbrick, the event for LEGO fans, organized by ALE!
A curiosity?, the islands of Skye (Scotland) and Skylands, come together to receive the Skylanders Swap Force. A reflection?Is McDonald's strategy about promoting reading or marketing?
For the rest, we have dressed the children in Beatles t-shirts (by IKSS), and we have put on some very warm hats (Can we spend them this year ?, is the question that arises), Sinner.
